  • Lovely walk from Porto De Mos to lighthouse along the interesting coastline. Great cliffs, rock formations and caves.

  • Absolutely beautiful lighthouse located on the cliffs ca. 51 m above the sea. Beware, the cliffs are extremely steep and can be dangerous. The radar tower nearby features a DAVIS weather station.
  • The lighthouse, located directly on the coast, is an ideal starting point for short hikes or jogging trips. From here you have a great view of the beautiful rock formations and you can also reach the stone grottoes via a staircase at the back of the lighthouse.
  • What a spectacular place this is! Take your time and feel the ocean! If you have time look for funny birds around this place.
  • OBSERVATIONS: one of the nicest sunsets I have ever seen in my life - the atmosphere was really special You can by food & drink on site. You can start cliff hikes from that point. ADVICE: GO GO GO , Especially for sunset, I drove nearly 2 hours to see sunset and did not regret!!
  • Beautiful views, the parking lot is small so don't even bother with it just pull your car off on the side of the road. And while you're there check out the ephedra bushes. You can forage some of the green branches and make a tea to help with allergies, asthma or a cold. It's basically the same stuff that's in the original formulation of Sudafed but much lower concentrations. In the United States it's called Mormon tea because Brigham Young drank the stuff everyday. Be sure that you're not collecting Scotch broom, that stuff can make you violently ill and possibly put you in the hospital. Scotch broom will have yellow flowers and legume like pods. Ephedra branches will also be much thicker than Scotch broom. A nice cup of ephedra tea is a good alternative to caffeine.
