  • Location that houses the booty and the history of a location, lunatic, well ahead of his time. Visit accompanied by a guide to culture and knowledge, meaning the place. Must-see in Golegã!

  • The Carlos Relvas House and Studio is a small Studio that becomes large throughout its history. To meet this story and stunning architecture is possible only through guided tours and after acquisition of ticket, with a value accessible. Being a Photography Studio, it's funny you can't take pictures inside the House. The tour is very interesting and has interactive moments, such as the viewing of videos about the life and work of Carlos Relvas. This was a passionate booster of photography and in Portugal, having designed and built this House specifically for photography. The most interesting part is the top floor, all lined in glass and steel, where was installed Studio, and how the landscape and the light enter in this space is magical. We're seeing and knowing processes and photographic equipment of the 19th century, some unique in Europe. And we know the history, architecture and the characters of this amazing home. At the end of the visit we are invited to meet the work hung this pioneering photographer. A very interesting visit and not only for lovers of photography.

  • Fascinating history of the life and work of Carlos Relvas, and the introduction of photography into Portugal
  • This place was extraordinary! Loved it, a definite must see. My guide Elvira was great!
Bem haja
