  • This garden can be visited free of charge and at any time. is a place of passage that doesn't take long to visit, but it's worth it.

  • Garden located in the Centre of Funchal, always in motion, it is customary to see several groups. Has a small terrace and a covered area where I saw several times groups of young people dancing and rehearsing plays. Large taxi rank.

  • One of many botanical gardes/parks in Funchal. A little bit smaller than the other ones, beautiful though. Besides, not so crowded as one could expect.  more »

  • The Garden features a large fitodiversidade, boasting of several plants around the world, such as the sausage tree (Kigelia africana) originally from Tropical Africa, garcínia or mangosteen (Garcinia pictorius) of India, Bangladesh and Malaysia, the plant-of-teeth (Plumeria rubra var. acutifolia) of Mexico and pandanus (Pandanus utilis) of Madagascar. Plants flora of Madeira are also represented, with 2 barbusanos (Apollonias barbujana), 2 Dragon trees (Dracaena draco SSP. draco), 1 Dick-white (Picconia excelsa) and 4 (Ocotea foetens). The August 21 1992, was inaugurated the Auditorium and Amphitheater where playful-cultural activities throughout the year. This green space has also a bar-terrace, a kiosk and a small pond inhabited by swans and ducks, with fountains and a sculptural motif in marble, commonly known as "Boys" based on concrete base feijoco coated

  • Well kept garden with many varieties of plants labeled. During the Christmas season turns into a ' parco dei balocchi is full of light and atmosphere. A must visit with the children.
