  • When visiting the Funchal the Armazem do Mercado or the local market is a must see attraction. The place serves with a variety of local food (different colors and texture), exotic flowers from the isl...  more »
  • The market is worth a visit in any case. The building from the 1930s (probably) is interesting. It is important to check the prices and compare, because there are many tourists and traders love some beat up the prices. Offering excellent fresh fish markets is at its most beautiful.

  • This little arcade has some unique little shops with unusual souvenirs, Madeiran and continental. I've always felt welcome even when just looking around.
