The Estádio Algarve is an association football stadium located between Faro and Loulé, in Portugal and the former home of Farense and Louletano, having received some Olhanense and Portimonense matches during their respective stadiums' works of renovation. The Estádio Algarve is also the temporary home ground of the Gibraltar national football team and it also hosts the final match of the Algarve Cup, a major annual international tournament in women's football. From 2004 to 2013, Louletano shared the stadium with Sporting Clube Farense. The stadium has a capacity of 30,305 and was built for the Euro 2004 tournament. Aside from football, it has also hosted music festivals and concerts, and was temporarily converted into a super special stage during the 2007 Rally Portugal (part of the 2007 World Rally Championship season). The Estádio Algarve was designed in the summer of 2000 to UEFA and FIFA standards by Populous. The design team included WS Atkins engineers and local partners including Marobal. The design is regional in nature, alluding to the maritime traditions of Portugal and harmonising with the distinctive local landscape. The stadium is considered a model small/regional flexible use stadium for European football and cultural events, being one of the most used stadiums in Portugal, compared to others used for matches in the main Portuguese Football League.

  • Inside one Stadium more... that if not remember correctly is izo for the European Championships football there by 2004.

  • Beautiful 30000-seat stadium built for Euro 2004 in the Portugal. Easy road access. Plenty of free nearby parking. The stadium is modern, except the ticket office which is located in the matches in a bungalow outside the stadium. It plays friendly mainly pre-season matches, but also of the championship games of local teams (Loulé, Olhão) matches of the cup of Portugal also. Occasionally, the Portuguese selection plays a game. Only regret, there is no local club permanent resident of this stage, so it is underexploited. Too bad because this place deserves to vibrate to the sounds of fans or concerts.

  • I liked the stadium has parking place quite broad and can circulate freely. Even out of the stadium is quite fast derived the new hits.

  • The best of the portuguese stadiums
  • Great place to fly Racing Drones (Off season)!
  • European Qualifiers 9th June 2017 Cyprus-Gibraltar FREE ENTRY because was only 200 Viewers and Fans there..... ;-)
  • A decent stadium but it's in the middle of nowhere and hard to get away from if you don't have a car and the match finishes after nine.
  • Great stadium but unfortunately there are not to much events
