Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana)
See the remains of the ancient Roman Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana), with a preserved base and columns carved out of granite and marble, positioned at the center of a public square. This two-millennia-old religious structure stands 9.7 m (32 ft) tall and 25 m (82 ft) wide, and was originally surrounded by a reflecting pool. Built mainly for religious purposes, the site was historically used also as an execution point and a slaughterhouse. View its 14 original granite Corinthian columns with decorative marble capitals, sturdy enough to have withstood the destructive earthquake of 1755. The area around the Roman temple is definitely worth visiting. There is a good view right next to the temple. The temple itself is not much, there is only a small part still standing and there is almost no information given about it.

Temple in honour to the Diana godess which is well preserved. The temple is beautiful any time of the day although I prefer by sunset with a beautiful sky in the background. The temple is in the middle of a big square so it is free, accessible and worth to visit. Recommended 😊
