4.1/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
One of the oldest buildings in the city, the Gothic Se Catedral de Evora forms part of a complex of historical buildings that are on the World Heritage List. This building, the largest medieval cathedral in the country, features two eye-catching towers, each with a different conical spire. The building's cloisters, completed in the 14th century, include marble statues of the four evangelists and a polychrome statue of the Virgin Mary. Take the cloisters' spiral staircase to reach the upper story, which offers unobstructed views of the cathedral complex and the surrounding landscape. After you see the view from the top, descend to the cathedral museum, noted for displaying a 17th century reliquary encrusted with 840 diamonds and 402 rubies. • The Cathedral and main church of Évora. It is also a few steps away from Giraldo's square and the Roman temple. The visit comes at a cost to visit. Next to the Cathedral has a Museum of religious art.

  • Attendants nothing thoughtful and somewhat rough. To see the ship, you must pay. A Lord (spoke English) had not understood that the payment did not include the climb to the tower and when I went toward the stairs was reprimanded in an unusual manner polite. It was not a nice place to visit and after few minutes I left there.
