  • Tickets for 2 people cost €14.00 what honestly is overkill for a small church and a palace that has nothing with puppies Ruiz agate in nothing matched the place. ... Anyway to avoid exaggerated price of tickets, the 100 metres has the Cathedral of Évora with the half-price ticket is worth a visit ....

  • You access to the Palacio Cadaval through a small garden with a restaurant. The Palacio shows a beautiful and old property in the city of Evora. The church nearby is even more interesting.  more »
  • Another visit, if you look at it, if not is not the best. The best Church, the Palace is not worth much

  • The church is lovely, worth about 2-3€ to visit. The palace is an embarrassment, absolutely no historical, artistic or architectural information provided in any language. Forcing people to pay for both together is inappropriate and manipulative, particularly since this money apparently (as far as we could tell) goes to the Duke, rather than to a charitable or public organization. By far our most frustrating experience in charming Evora.
  • The church is pretty, the palace itself is just an old house with a repository of old stuff. The walls and ceiling could use a much needed lift and humidity is taking its toll.
  • Now it serves as simple museum and doesn't show how the palace it self was once was
  • Palacio da casa cadaval is a monument with little to visit since it's still private residence. The Palace was built in an area that was part of the first castle of Évora and that includes the entire block where is the Inn and Church of loios, public library, Palace of the counts of Basto (fundação Eugénio de Almeida), etc. and which is part of Tower 5 corners. Also a restaurant with a terrace and an area for events.

Where to stay in Evora

Take advantage of Evora's array of ancient and historical sites by staying in one of the many mid-range hotels located within its medieval core. Thanks to a mix of Roman, Moorish, and later European buildings, the entire center is listed as a World Heritage Site, so this area provides a great base for sightseeing by foot. To save a little on accommodations, you can also check into one of the hostels in town, most of which are located in the city center or on its winding residential streets that branch off from the main squares. These usually have shared, dorm-style rooms, but can get you right in the midst of the action at a very low cost.
