Where to stay in Evora

Take advantage of Evora's array of ancient and historical sites by staying in one of the many mid-range hotels located within its medieval core. Thanks to a mix of Roman, Moorish, and later European buildings, the entire center is listed as a World Heritage Site, so this area provides a great base for sightseeing by foot. To save a little on accommodations, you can also check into one of the hostels in town, most of which are located in the city center or on its winding residential streets that branch off from the main squares. These usually have shared, dorm-style rooms, but can get you right in the midst of the action at a very low cost.

  • Nice church by the chapel of bones. The place has a nice feel to it and great vitro window in it.
  • The church itself is not very special but the exhibition of nativity scenes art is quite interesting with different pieces from different countries.
  • The church itself is ok but the most interesting part is the chapel of bones, that is a must see!
  • In reconstruction process for the moment 😔
  • Chapel made of boes and skulls.
