  • Unmissable ride that requires scheduling. The 1 hour and a half from Lisbon, through great road, we found this lovely place. History class and solidarity for the benefit of the region, through the art of grape growing, wine and olive oil production. Historic site. Life story of the founders, worthy of respect and admiration. Short very wines, olive oils and his teachings. Ana Raquel Roberto knows everything about history, wines and oils, as well as very polite and pleasant. Wonderful tour.

Where to stay in Evora

Take advantage of Evora's array of ancient and historical sites by staying in one of the many mid-range hotels located within its medieval core. Thanks to a mix of Roman, Moorish, and later European buildings, the entire center is listed as a World Heritage Site, so this area provides a great base for sightseeing by foot. To save a little on accommodations, you can also check into one of the hostels in town, most of which are located in the city center or on its winding residential streets that branch off from the main squares. These usually have shared, dorm-style rooms, but can get you right in the midst of the action at a very low cost.
