Where to stay in Evora

Take advantage of Evora's array of ancient and historical sites by staying in one of the many mid-range hotels located within its medieval core. Thanks to a mix of Roman, Moorish, and later European buildings, the entire center is listed as a World Heritage Site, so this area provides a great base for sightseeing by foot. To save a little on accommodations, you can also check into one of the hostels in town, most of which are located in the city center or on its winding residential streets that branch off from the main squares. These usually have shared, dorm-style rooms, but can get you right in the midst of the action at a very low cost.

  • Unusual shape for a time gone by. The fountain does need closer inspection and it is almost a series of water pools enclosed in Maribel with areas for sitting around and enjoying the sun.  more »
  • This fountain is an unusual shape and interesting to look at as you pass by. On a very busy intersection so be careful of traffic.  more »
  • Good to look at. If you walk around the town, then you will pass by this fountain at some point. It was beautifully made.  more »
