  • The cellar of the Charterhouse is part of the Foundation Eugene Daniel and home of the much acclaimed Pera Manca. $5/pessoa is entitled to tour the winery and the entire space, former Jesuit convent. In the end we are treated to small snack consisting of bread, olive oil and stuffed, in my case I've tasted the organic wine which is produced in the cellar. Very large growing area under vines almost as far as the eye can see.

  • The cellar Charterhouse is one of the most traditional wineries of Portugal and famous for producing the historic Pera Manca. Here it is possible to do a tasting, the service is of high quality.

  • Stay in the historic town of Évora, script required for wine lovers. Opportunity to know the history of the Winery, Tony Almeida, Foundation of the monastery and of the Carthusian monks. History and wine, infallible duo.

  • It is always a pleasure to visit Cartuxa winery! Both Ana and Eunice are the perfect hosts! This time I went there with some catalan friends, my girlfriend and my father. Ana showed us the ancient wine cellar, explaining all the production process of this precious 'nectar'. At the end Ana presented the olive oils and wines selected for our tasting, explaining each one of them during the tasting. Just PERFECT! Everybody enjoyed the experience, from the tour to the tasting. We will be coming back for sure, again and again... ENJOY!
  • I love the wine here. The vineyard is lovely and the facility is wonderful to see. The olive oil and wine is a must. I highly recommend coming here to grab a few of their products. Everything is of high quality and will make wonderful gifts to friends and family. The staff is always nice and helpful with selecting wines. I always make it a point to come here on a trip to Portugal.
