  • The Elvas Castle is essential to visit but more for its view already that not much standing. Its walls surround it at the top of the city in what was a Roman defense impregnable and double wall.

  • There is little to see up on the great view. You can walk on the walls. Café in the courtyard. Very windzügig located.

  • Is a work of Islamic medieval fortification, rebuilt in the 13th and 14th centuries. Welcomed the Mayor of Elvas and was the scene of important events in the history of the country as peace treaties and trade of princesses. Today is somewhat abandoned. The view of the castle is amazing.
