  • We stayed for two nights, and would be initially to a room next to the spa, but they gave us an upgrade to a suite with access to the garden. The room with 40 m. presented an excellent location, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The insonorizarão is not the best for the other rooms. Both in your room and communal areas all well maintained and clean. We loved the breakfast with views of the garden, composed of a lot of variety of food and an extended schedule that leaves us more rested as the hours. I recommend the Hotel, however I don't consider a reasonable price the prices for rooms in the area where we were, considering the time of year even less.

  • Superb property of a physician sponsor of Coimbra of the first half of the 20th century. In the Portuguese style. The collection of paintings and objects is interesting, and reflect the art and culture of the Portugal.

  • This is an idyllic place which depicts lovers forbidden to Pedro e Inês, he son of AFONSO IV, King of Portugal, she, aia's future Queen and mistress of Pedro, who was murdered at the behest of Afonso, when Pedro came to the throne, forced the Court to kiss the hand of the dead lover!

  • The gardens are beautiful, but not breathtaking. I went just visiting the gardens and I think it doesnt worth the money.
  • Part of the hotel was under construction so they upgraded our room. The service is second to none, would highly recommend as this is the best hotel in the area. Would happily visit again and look forward to exploring more gardens during a later visit.
  • Good facilities with nice and cosy rooms. The gardens are wonderful and the staff is helpfull and friendly.
  • The hotel and the breakfasts were excellent. But the restaurant left a great deal to be desired. I had a "menu" at 40 Euros. The pork was dry and not at all good. I ordered a glass of red wine. The wine was fine, perhaps even better than fine, but there was barely enough for one good swallow. I could scarcely believe that the wine steward was serious.
  • Old but well preserved. Good facilities with nice and cosy rooms. The breakfast is good with several items. The gardens are wonderful! The staff is helpful and friendly.
