  • The quinta das Lágrimas is linked to a historical moment of love and tragedy. Love of Pedro and Inês and tragedy of Inês's murder, ordered by the then King and d. Pedro's father, King Afonso IV in 1355. Today is a prestigious hotel. In the gardens, there are also several events.

  • The gardens are beautiful, but not breathtaking. I went just visiting the gardens and I think it doesnt worth the money.
  • Part of the hotel was under construction so they upgraded our room. The service is second to none, would highly recommend as this is the best hotel in the area. Would happily visit again and look forward to exploring more gardens during a later visit.
  • Good facilities with nice and cosy rooms. The gardens are wonderful and the staff is helpfull and friendly.
  • The hotel and the breakfasts were excellent. But the restaurant left a great deal to be desired. I had a "menu" at 40 Euros. The pork was dry and not at all good. I ordered a glass of red wine. The wine was fine, perhaps even better than fine, but there was barely enough for one good swallow. I could scarcely believe that the wine steward was serious.
  • Old but well preserved. Good facilities with nice and cosy rooms. The breakfast is good with several items. The gardens are wonderful! The staff is helpful and friendly.
