  • A must for all visitors to Chaves as the views on offer are breathtaking. So many photo opportunities.  more »
  • It includes a small museum (1 euro) and it provides a 360 degrees view of the city. The ticket also gives entrance to another small museum in the nearby square.  more »

  • Chaves in general is a beautiful place. It's a mixture of modern and old world and has a little bit of everything for everyone. The castle isn't awe inspiring but the gardens are beautiful and the views magnificent. The castle itself houses military memorabilia from different eras. It only costs €1 to have a look around.
  • I was not inside. A great looking piece of Portuguese military architecture from the 15th century. All around you have a garden and the old city. It is really beautiful and peaceful.
  • Nice views
  • History place.
  • The lawn that surrounds the Castle makes — the recognizable anywhere. I loved it, as I really like the whole town, full of history.
