  • Played under the Sun and little wind, the first holes are quite close between the pines and then it widens, the first sea views appear on the Hill. The interview seemed to us very correct, Championship greens, bunkers location... Surely difficult for beginners but the beauty of the site is worth a visit; Some people find that this is not a links... certainly it is not "stuck" to the sea but very close, somewhat elevated, with beautiful views and no herbees areas are in sand... so looks devilishly... Accustomed to playing the course deemed difficult in France we have not disoriented... Little more to complete: the 1 tee and the practice at 100 meters from the hotel Oitavos, you can leave with his trolley or his car...

  • The Oitavos dunes has two faces. At the beginning to start slowly surrounded by pine trees. You will hole 5 in open terrain and depending on the wind, he can be estimated a place from very easy to very difficult. Every day you can find other ratios, which makes it very exciting. It is important to observe the direction of the grass on the Greens (usually towards the sea), because the speeds vary very. The difficulties of this place are the wind, on the one hand, on the other hand, the readability of the Greens. You can play well this place even after abundant rainfall (which does not apply to other places in the region), because he is completely built on sand. Since the owner wants no buggies on the square (but should), whose prices are enormously high. As a wine lover he has the beer in the clubhouse recognised also as high, that you are twice over, to buy another. The place is necessarily in any golf trip to Lisbon.

  • This is a fabulous course to play. Fun holes, incredible views, walkable. Must play here at least twice. If you come to Portugal for golf this is the top course.

  • We played the course in beautiful weather in late September. Fair warning to those from the United States that this is a great golf course but the amenities are Spartan. We used a buggy (motor driven golf cart for us Yankees); I would urge you to walk. The course itself is a series of challenging shots and photo ops. If you can hit the ball straight, you can score, but if you are not a big banger you will face several long and challenging second shots. The par threes are excellent. Arthur Hills design. If there is any drawback to the design, it is the green complexes. Narrow on the shorter holes, but not very challenging. In summary, a serious golf course for serious golfers. Single categorical flaw is maintenance. Rough–hewn.....
  • terrible.golf.course and terrible service... we attends fro our tee time to be greeted by very rude staff.. the course tried to rip.us off changing the price at the course when we arrived from.the price they quoted when we made the tee time.. everyone stay away.. way better courses in the area .
  • The best golfing experience in Portugal. Fantastic service and great food in an extraordinary clubhouse that, despite it's modern design, blends perfectly with the beautiful surrounding nature. The course is extremely tough and every hole unique. The upkeep of the course has never disappointed. This is a must when you visit the Lisbon golf district.
  • One of the most challenging Golf courses I ever played! Perfect to improve your Golfe every day on a different way- located in the Dunes of Guincho beach surrounded by Sintras impressing mountains up to the most westren point of Europe! Fantastic soft winds, sometimes with a bit more caracter, unique nature and unforgetable views over the pure sea- best Golfcorse ever in this region- just to compare with Monte Rei in the Algarve
  • Great challenging walking links course. Also great staff on course and at clubhouse - friendly and professional. Highly recommend a visit if you love your golf.
