  • We went on a Sunday morning to the park and we really did enjoy to ambiance. There is a nice tea house with a nice terrace to enjoy the shade!  more »
  • It is a park in the center of the city, but with unique quality and a peace. Animals (hens, chickens, peacocks, ducks, turtles) are free and not afraid of humans. Happy stroll along its paths and sitting in hammocks arranged by the City Hall. to read quietly

  • Beautiful gardens, lakes, very good to spend the day with the children in family safety. To take a picnic and spend a different day

  • Always a great park to visit. Really green, well taken care of. Has good places for children to have fun. Big areas for adults as well to play a little ball game or something. Has water fountains some places in case you feel thirsty and it has a small cafe at the beginning of the park. There are some animals running wild, like chickens and peacocks. This is always fun! Has a bathroom as well although I never visited it. The parking area for cars is seriously lacking, especially in the summers due to the high amount of visitors but there is always underground parking near the Cascais Marina. Overall, awesome visit and I always have fun!
  • Great place to take children. Peacocks strut, roosters call and ducklings waddle. The play areas are safe and exciting and there is a cafe selling great cakes at reasonable prices.
  • Spent lots of time there during my childhood. It's a great place to take children but it is a pity that they don't have animals there anymore. The gardens are very welcome kept and it is a delightful walk around the park.
  • Very nice playground for smaller children. Space to play football and park games. Don't bike in the park! The guards will tell you :)
  • Brilliant park with good slides, swings etc. There is a peacock walking around like a boss!!!! That was awesome

Where to stay in Cascais

The seaside resort town of Cascais, one of Lisbon's wealthiest suburbs, offers solid options for both enjoying the sun and surf and getting away from the bustle of the capital. By staying right near the beach, you'll be within easy walking distance of both the soft sand and the restaurants and bars of the town center. Most of the bigger hotels along the waterfront and near the marina provide balconies and sweeping views over the ocean as well. However, you can also check into a smaller guesthouse for a lower bill and equally good location in the center of town. Grabbing a room at one of the guesthouses or hotels in nearby Estoril offers a similar beachfront experience not far from Cascais itself, plus this location offers more in terms of choice.
