Cascais Historic Center, Cascais

(4.5/5 based on 4,400+ reviews on the web)
Cascais Historic Center represents the old center of a historic coastal city that was once a small fishing village. While the foundation of Cascais dates to the 12th century, it did not become a desirable resort location until the 19th or 20th centuries, when royalty began to frequent the village. Now it is a popular site for beach-goers and tourists who are interested in Portuguese history. Just a train ride away from Lisbon, this site features tiny, shop-lined side streets; cobblestone roads; several parks; and local bars and restaurants. While you're here, visit the area's art and sea museum, as well as the ruins of the Castle of Cascais. By using our Cascais itinerary maker, you can arrange your visit to Cascais Historic Center and other attractions in Cascais.

  • Cascais is a beautiful city with many beautiful homes that are built in the period of Kings and the jet set here like to go. You can wander through the shopping streets and along the harbour. There is also a beautiful park, Parque Marechal Carmona, with many different plants and trees and where many peacocks walking around. Through the boulevard you can go to Estoril. This can also with the train that goes to Lisbon.
