Create an itinerary including Praia da Marinha
Bring your snorkeling gear for an underwater adventure at Praia da Marinha, noted for its calm waters and rocky outcrops. The clear waters lapping this beach offer you a chance to explore a diverse marine environment populated by sea anemones, shrimp, and colorful fish. One of the most photographed spots in Portugal, the beach hugs orange-colored limestone cliffs that are largely responsible for keeping this stretch of the coastline free of big tourist crowds. Once you get tired of your secluded beach lair, head out to sea on a guided boat trip, or pack a picnic lunch and explore the nearby caves and rock pools. Make Praia da Marinha a centerpiece of your Caramujeira vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Caramujeira tour planner.

  • This is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. I visited during early June and the ambiance was fantastic because very phew people were there. The views are breathtaking.

  • picture-perfect Algarve beach; unique geologic formations and boisterous waves may prevent you dozing off....

  • The beach is kind of divided into 3 areas which are less busy as you progress - each section is blocked off by rocks which you need to either climb over (unless you're lucky with low tide) or swim...

  • Very chill small beach surrounded by cliffs and rock.
  • Dangerous but fun, be weary of the waves they can reach quite far
  • Beautiful but kayaking in more than a 1 person kayak is pretty unstable
  • A must visit beach!!
  • Beautiful place worth visiting, but the water was so cold (for me)! :)
