  • Uma experiência única de contacto com a Natureza. "Paiva Walkways are located on the left bank of the Paiva River, in Arouca municipality, Aveiro, Portugal. They are 8 km that provide a walk "untouched", surrounded by unique beauty of landscapes, in an authentic natural sanctuary along the brave waters downhills, quartz crystals and endangered species in Europe. The route extends from the river beaches of Areinho and Espiunca, lying between them, the Vau beach. A journey through biology, geology and archeology that will remain, of course, in heart, soul and in mind of any nature lover."
  • A great hiking experience on a unique wooden walkway in the Northern Portugal parts, surrounded by beautiful nature. Definitely a highlight, make sure you don't miss it. However, unfortunately parts of it were destroyed in the severe bush fires during summer 17. I hope that they will rebuild it soon.
  • Long but easy hike, with a magnificent scenic view from the wooden walkway.
  • Scenic path along river Paiva. Online booking is cheaper than buying tickets on the spot. If booking online, don't forget to bring a print out with you (don't forget it in the car). About 8 kms each way. If doing both ways it's better to start/finish in Espiunca. If doing one way it's better to do the path from Areinho towards Espiunca. Taxis available to get you back to your starting place. Emergency phones placed along the route.
  • Must go. The views are magnificent.
