  • There are many reasons for visiting the Serra da Freita. Among the natural beauties is this waterfall. Throws from up high and creates a beautiful Vue. The viewpoint is well signposted but the narrow path that leads from there to the bottom of the Valley promises to be pretty steep (not got there): you better have good legs or a powerful car. But just a few meters below the viewpoint there is a small area where you have a beautiful view of the waterfall and to the coast (Ria de Aveiro). I took up the various pictures that annex. There are many reasons to visit the Freita Sierra. These falls are amongs the Sierra's natural beauties. It projects from the high ground and creates a beatiful veil. The belvedere is well signposted but the narrow pathw that from there leads to the bottom of the valley promises to be very steep (I didn't get to the bottom): you'd better have good hiking legs or a powerful car. However, just a few meters below the belvedere there is a small space with a gret view of the falls and towards thecostline (Ria de Aveiro). The atached photos were taken there.
