  • Very pretty and interesting cave. Very diferente from the volcanoe, as this is a lava tube. Very cool experience.
  • If you are in the area outweighs visit the cave. It is something different, is well preserved in its natural state and is not bad price. It's nothing spectacular.

  • Do not think that is equal to the algar coal, Christmas Grotto, rock tunnels, wherever she went to wash, this helmet must be worn, and there are areas where we have to walk, but it's worth it.

  • Nice but short lava tube. They give you a helmet but you have to be flexible on your knees if you don't want to feel the ceiling on your back in some passages. Gruta das Torres on Pico island remains in a different league.
  • Stunning volcanic cave. A must-see in Terceira. Don't miss the hike to the nearby "mistérios".
  • Great staff, great cave! Mind your head
  • very interesting
  • Not as good as algar do carvao. But still worth it. It is a bit rough, you have to wear an helmet (provided), and there are some lower passages where you almost have to get on your knees. It's basically an old lava tunel where you can see different types of lava formations.
