  • Is it that a person has to the front door and walked years to visit. And when it was, came from anything but disappointed.

  • Portugal has many places of interest that do not appear in many tourist guides. Casa dos Pastudos is one of them. Sergio recommended it to us, the owner of the House gives Alcáçovas in Santarém, after meeting our interest in antiques. It was right in full. We were a Sunday, at 12, we find easy parking and after pay €2.50 for entry, a Spanish Guide taught us the House-Museum for 50 minutes. The girl was all kindness and responded with credit to all the questions that we did. The House two Patudos belonged to one of the fathers of the Republic of Portugal, which, besides agricultural entrepreneur, Minister and Ambassador to Spain, devoted his life to collecting European art and Portuguese folk art. This is reflected in all the rooms of the Museum, where we can find several centuries ago, Portuguese tiles exclusive Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics, porcelain from Limoges and China, carpets from Arraiolos, pictures of Portuguese and European painters, lamps glass, furniture of Portuguese and French style, objects d'eco art and hundreds of interesting details for those who want to know the life of the Portuguese at the beginning of the 20TH century bourgeoisie. Visit surprised us by the quality of the parts, arranged in various rooms, care guide and the price of the ticket. Really it is worth approaching and know something else on our trip to Portugal.

  • The visit to the ancient House of José Relvas makes us go back to 1905 and imagine how you lived at that time in Portugal. It's a well decorated space that contains a rich private collection where you can find paintings of José Malhoa, stoneware of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, among other relics. The House Tour is accompanied by a guide and lasts for about 1:00. Worth the visit!
