  • Must visit, because it is very beautiful. Beautiful Museum. With diverse dishes to see who has the old Ranch Folcórico dresses from Alcobaça.

  • Very interesting Museum, Miss solely by having little collection, makes up for being free. Great passion of Mrs Ilda Streets (if I'm not mistaken) who showed us/reported more than we were counting on to meet. not have unfortunately souvenirs for sale.

  • I visited this Museum at the time had two patent exposures. "Alcoa's ranch Costumes, depicting the dish from Alcobaça" and "ceramic Collection of Bernarda Raul". I know that Alcoa's ranch existed between 1939 and 1959 and assumed a huge importance in social and cultural life of this era, allowing the who integrated the ranch out of Alcobaça and meet other people and places. The dresses, hand-painted by painters of dishes from the factory of Bernarda, with Raul allusive paintings to dishes of Alcobaça belonged to Scenic Group, which was part of the ranch. Behind them, a large panel shows the girls on stage the Group boasting the dresses that we see in front of us. As for the "collection of Ceramics Raul of Bernarda" I know that the year 1875, when José dos Reis, craftsman, founded the oldest crockery factory of Alcobaça. The knowledge gained in Coimbra reflected in utilitarian ware produced in this factory. Coimbra production remained between 1900 and 1920, when the factory was owned by Manuel Ferreira da Bernarda. In 30 years, with son Raul of Bernarda in the administration of the factory came into being that which is known as "artistic dishes of Alcobaça". Cease to produce utilitarian ware to make decorative Dinnerware too: more colorful, showy and glazed. The Museum, opened in the year 2000, is currently owned by the municipality of Alcobaça and give the public more than 135 years of history of a factory that was passing from generation to generation until its closure in 2008. The fact that free admission is an asset!
