  • The walls of the entrance are made up of bones and skulls of cleared winter digging. You may not further than in the passage. Wonderful to see. Free access.

  • On the plate of information placed on the wall next to the door of the Chapel, it says this: located next to the main church. This shrine was built in the 16th century. Inside, the walls are covered with bones and the human skulls from the old cemetery. To be more precise, it is located on the right rear of the Church (Igreja Nossa Senhora da (Notre-dame of) Conceição) when we watch from the front at the bottom of a small square where a mini-mercado.

  • Really interesting to see all the bones well worth a visit as is the church, really quite quaint. The whole of Alcantarilha is worth a visit, come visit.
