  • Return to Portugal now in November 2016. Our first time was in 2008. And, as we wanted to do a screenplay from the West of the country, of course we would like to return to the chapel of bones. Picturesque location and even a bit "scary" because these are human bones. But it's worth the visit.

  • The walls of the entrance are made up of bones and skulls of cleared winter digging. You may not further than in the passage. Wonderful to see. Free access.

  • On the plate of information placed on the wall next to the door of the Chapel, it says this: located next to the main church. This shrine was built in the 16th century. Inside, the walls are covered with bones and the human skulls from the old cemetery. To be more precise, it is located on the right rear of the Church (Igreja Nossa Senhora da (Notre-dame of) Conceição) when we watch from the front at the bottom of a small square where a mini-mercado.
