4.2/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
Soak up some local color at Praia dos Pescadores, a curving stretch of golden sands lapped by the gentle waters of the Atlantic. This fisherman's beach, as its name roughly translates, blends its scenic location with easy access to Albufeira's Old Town. Just a short walk from the water, you can find busy streets packed with tourists and flanked by hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops selling local souvenirs. For unobstructed views of the sea and the coastline, take the escalator to the top of the cliffs, which provide a natural backdrop to this popular beach. End your visit with a meal at one of many seaside food kiosks selling local dishes and cold drinks. • A wonderful long sandy beach, with access by escalator and lift! Great for paddling in the surf, and good exercise if you walk the whole length!
  • The best beach in the Algarve, good sand, good beach, warm water and friendly people, I recommend! Access to the beach are also the best, and there is even an elevator.

  • Main beach of Albufeira which can be accessed via a lift or stairs - the beach is rather large and borders the city centre with its restaurants and shops, which are at the top of the cliffs. Suddenly, the beach seems to be somewhat isolated through the cliffs, is significant because feels not surrounded by concrete, and yet all the amenities of the city are available in 5/10 minutes walk.

  • Beautiful sandy beaches with room for all. Clear warm water. Plenty of bars and restaurants all around the area serving local food if you want it and plentiful English food if you don't.
  • Very beautiful beach with a lot of great food and shopping in the area. Everyone spoke English.
  • Great beach. You could call it little Monaco. It gets busy during the peak season but it is entertaining and the beach is clean and well maintained.
  • The views are stunning, and the beach very clean.Love it!
  • Great place to hang out warmer than other beaches
