The heart of a picturesque fishing village, Centro Historico de Albufeira basks in a traditional atmosphere accentuated with whitewashed walls and cobbled streets. Wander through narrow alleys lined with craft shops and street vendors selling souvenirs, then take a seat and people-watch at one of the bars or restaurants surrounding the quaint central square. Taste some of the local cuisine or sip a drink while cheering on the local soccer team. In the evening, live music fills the streets, and many clubs open stands with male and female dancers in the doorways. • The old town of albufeira is not bad unfortunately most old houses on a improper way was much of the original charm has been lost. There are some beautiful churches and a cosy little beach. By the abundance of British tourists, with the accompanying pubs and fish and ships restaurants make you feel rather in an English coastal town. The area on the landward side of the city is simply ugly with all supermarkets, shopping centers and new developments. It shows little knowledge of urban development. What a pity!

  • Very noisy area of the city. The bars try to captivate clients with the music or the animators loud. ...! Many restaurants and shops.

  • Very interesting to know, in being in the region. There are a lot of people on the streets, many dining options, bars and shopping.
