Tumski Bridge is a steel bridge over the north branch of the Oder river in Wrocław, Poland. Constructed in 1889 it replaced an old wooden bridge to connect Ostrów Tumski and Wyspa Piaskowa. Until 1945, its name was Dombrücke. It is an old road bridge now open to pedestrians only.Tumski Bridge is also called Lovers Bridge, Cathedral Bridge or Green Bridge. It's a place of enamoured tradition for lovers. The bridge is full of love locks which lovers leave to cherish their feelings. An important part of the ceremony is to throw the key into the Odra river. In 1992 it was comprehensively renovated. During the renovation the original deck covering of Zores sections was replaced by an orthotropic deck.

We have been there with our kids to find some more Dwarfs. The bridge is really beautiful as well as its view. We liked the padlocks, a common habit in other parts of the world.  more »

-Very charming especially when highlighted/but if the lock pin and drop the key into the River I would recommend? Probably not, because there is no warranty on love, fidelity and rusting żelastwo of charm does not add and also a little weighs. -Above I have read in a review that prevent car traffic here? A hint, on the bridge for many, many years is prohibited and is really respected, and you can capture to bridge, even an hour. without fear that something will be allowed. -As a curiosity, you must add that before World War II he was nicknamed "the Cathedral," and separate jurisdiction of the Church from secular/Ostrów Tumski Island Sand/Built in the year 1889 is in as good condition, but needs renovation. -On the span bridge building you can see the oval holes, called by guides "venting" that are the remnants of war/przestrzeliny/what can inspire imagination as heavy fighting took place in this region and what weapons were used. We cordially invite you. Sports: Bozena and Richard

A romantic place among historic churches, palaces and other monuments. The bridge connects the Ostrów Tumski Island sand.
