  • 1000-year history of the best survives just on Ostrów Tumski. In my opinion the best place to start sightseeing from along the Church of the BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, go over the bridge town (here pooglądac you can powpinane lock lovers), then watch the statue of St. John of Nepomuk, Gothic Collegiate. Of the cross and St. Bartholomew, to finally reach the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Here you can get a lift to the viewing platform and enjoy the view "from the top". From the Cathedral, next to the oldest church on Ostrow-St. Thanks, Kluskową gateway-go wzdłuz gates of the Botanical Garden, the John Paul II next to the hotel and get to the Church. Martin (Romanesque style); Here, too, are fragments of ancient walls and statue of Pope John XXIII. Clean, well-kept promenades, the proximity of the river Oder, the spirit of the 1000-year-old of cause with a stroll through the Ostrów Wielkopolski is something special. I live in Wrocław since birth, but this place always fascinates, during the year we walk there.
