Old Town- Historic Center, Wroclaw

(4.9/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
A small historical district, Old Town- Historic Center supports well-preserved medieval and Baroque facades, and the ground floors of many buildings host quaint cafes and shops. The square is dotted with small bronze statuaries and one central sculpture. Don't miss the brick structures that make up the town hall and church, easily recognizable for their distinctive architecture. Many visitors and locals use the square as a meeting place and city-wide events are often held here. Some later additions, such as the glass fountain, have modernized the district, but only slightly. • Because Wroclaw in World War II destroyed, one is to a large extent after the war started with the re-establishment of the old town. The old town is a mixture of pre-war buildings, restored buildings and completely new buildings in old style. The town has a mix of architecture. The old town is bustling, as the world meets here and also find here a place many dwarves. The old town is full of atmosphere and not to be missed.

  • Wonderful old town, worth a day of kicking around. Only spent a day in Wroclaw breaking up a train trip from Krakow and Gdansk, wish we would have added another day. Very charming city and old town.  more »
  • Place the beautiful, picturesque. One of the best (next to the Poznań, Toruń, Gdańsk and Kraków) old town! Charming, quiet in winter (but what to expect in winter?!, and lively summer;-)), abundant in space for meeting, eating and drink beers or wine-of course in the open air.
