Multimedia Fountain at Pergola, Wroclaw

(4.4/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Become enchanted with a dancing, moving stream of water lit by all the colors of the rainbow at Multimedia Fountain at Pergola. With over 800 computer-operated bulbs and 300 water jets, the fountain is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Before the show, consider a stroll around the Wrocław Pergola, a pillared walking path through the surrounding gardens. In the winter, 4,700 sq m (51,000 sq ft) of the area turns into a skating rink. Seasonally, a show takes place nightly after dark and is choreographed to music. The pergola and the area around the fountains gets crowded for the light spectacle, so pick a viewing spot early. • I put the best rating for this attraction because I heard how great it is when it really works. Unfortunately, it was closed during the winter (I was there in January). When it is closed, its part is ...  more »

  • “The Wroclaw Fountain at Pergola” offers a multimedia spectacle affecting several senses. Water jets 40 meters up creating a screen of seven hundred square meters, on which colored animations are displayed, accompanied by music and natural sounds of splash and patter. The Wroclaw multimedia fountain is one of only several similar objects in the world. In the one hectare basin are installed almost 300 nozzles of different types: geysers, foggy, pointed, palm and also three fire nozzles. There are as well lasers and music. Almost 800 small and big sources of light are placed in the basin. Additional attraction is the winter function of the fountain. In can be turned into a 4700 square meter big ice rink. Till the end of October you may admire the fountain everyday between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. After 8 p.m. water fantasies are accompanied with magnificent illumination. At each full hour the fountain displays a dynamic show, using almost all nozzles and geysers creating unique impression: -at even hours – fifteen minute long set to classical or modern music rhythms -at odd hours – three minute long set Richard Wagner and Vanessa May music. -at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m - a special quarter of an hour long show is given, employing almost full fountain potential
  • Great place to go to both by day - especially in the summer to some relief from the heat/by winter just for a walk along the promenade or the nearby Szczytnicki Park, or by night - to admire the colourful performances. You may also want to try going to the nearby cafe & restaurant for a coffee while enjoying the show.
  • Most beautiful light show I have ever seen. Stunning nighttime shows perfectly timed with music. On Saturday nights they project animations on the water to create beautiful scenes. If you are visiting Wroclaw this is 10/10 the best attraction. Also the best attraction I have been to in the whole of poland.
  • The whole area around Centennial Hall is great. Recommend for a walk during a day. Show usually starts after sunset around 20:30. And are worth seeing while staying in Wroclaw. However, after few minutes you realize that it's only water and lights (sometimes fire) that you were able to see 20 years ago on other places around.
  • Incredibly and romantic place! The best of Wroclaw! There are concerts on Fridays and weekends. It works even in autumn :) Must-visit place if you are in Wroclaw!
