Japanese Garden - Szczytnicki Park, Wroclaw

4.3
#2 of 10 in Parks in Wroclaw
Get a taste of Japan while you're in Poland at Japanese Garden - Szczytnicki Park, which made its debut in 1913 as part of the World Expo. The small garden with sculpted bushes sits in a quiet part of the city outside the center, located near the Centennial site. It has been reconstructed to look like the original garden from decades ago and features pagodas, a man-made lake, narrow bridges, and simple sculptures. The garden isn't large and is better suited for contemplation rather than walking. • ENTRANCE to the garden-preferably from the Pergola, exactly in the middle of just bounce right and we already have the money and the entrance. Tickets-reduced 2zł, normal 4zł. There are no queues. The TERM-open 9.00-19.00, better to choose a date around may, when so many stems that during bloom. In summer, little color here. Attractions-attraction should be vegetation, sadly lacking although small signs, or any tree, shrub or flower is more or less Japanese. The cottages can be to describe what he served. Certainly more interesting would be to go inside, and viewed a room separated bamboo płotkami. At the entrance to the garden hanging label "do not tread on the grass"-in August the grass a lot was not. Most of the walled off or burned. Fish-small 20 cm fish in extremely dirty water. Nice miniwodospady interesting transition stone by streams. Little benches and in the garden, I mean, after all, is to sit back and relax. TIME-quiet walk around twice in the same place is ok. a 30-minute drive away. A HUGE MINUS-in the garden you can smoke cigarettes. The stench of amazing how two smokers on the bench usadzi. Once there you can look, but to keep coming every day for a relaxing walk is not recommend.

  • Spring, time of year, that awakens the world to life, what can be seen best in nature, so here it is best to drop by in the spring, but I was in June and it was super, I do not know, as with parking bliżo the garden, because I I parked on the other page for fountain, was free, prices wstępu...no I admit that few place where Yes malutko to pay. time to explore the need for malutko it, more for the natural beauty, the "podziwiaczy" bushes and wild flowers, and certainly, when is the weather, because all explore the outdoors, so when even the siąpi the rain, it's no longer fajnie....na you sure, he goes to the garden under the Pergola, and on the right page, we have the fountain of iluminacyjną, so cool nice walk on a romantic getaway , alby, even if only a walk)

  • Garden is very nice but not too big. It's a shame that there's no info boards and you need to rely on a photo of map near the front entrance. It's not too big but well layed out. I can recommend a visit but don't get over excited.
  • Nice green spot in the city. Better if visited during spring time with all the flowers, colors etc. Not very well organized, there is a ticket to pay but not everyone is paying for this entrance.
  • Lovely garden that is well maintained. You have to pay to get into the japanese gardens but it does seem fair. Lovely place especially in summer.
  • Very bad place, I found better japanese example inside sushi fusione restaurants. Ok there are pagodas and carps, but where is the japanese ambience? 4PLN very badly invested..
  • Quite nice place if you want to relax & enjoy a walk...!
