  • Interesting place to get a feel for the inhabitants who lived in Wroclaw in the 19th and 20th Centuries. Mostly German heritage. Peaceful setting, much overgrown but interesting olace to visit.  more »
  • A peaceful haven hidden behind a high wall, away from the hustle and busltle of the city. The gravestones show evidence of a violent battle that took place during the Second World War. Many headstones...  more »
  • Despite the immensity of the destruction, I believe that the cemetery is worth a visit. Ivy and trees impart a mystery. However, I do not think it necessary to guided tour on Sunday at 12. The Lady spoke about famous people buried there-one that may be of interest to others. However, very little said about the culture and traditions of which was a big downside-I have a comparison with a similar sightseeing in another city.

  • You can have a really nice walk down the paths of the cemetery, the atmosphere is chilling and mysterious but the setting is actually really beautiful. The history behind it is worth paying an entrance fee!
  • Full of emotion after visit this cemmentary. Entracy cost 15pln (approximately 3.5$).
  • Culturally speaking the place is nice, however it's not a museum and it's quite expensive (15zl) for a cemetery. There was no guidance or other information beside the flyers from the Kasa. I would put it as backup plan if you already visited other places in Wroclaw.
  • Most beautiful cemetery in Wroclaw. Very old
  • This cemetary is a proof of Wroclaw/Breslau's past. Jewish community lived and thrived here, which is reflected in a fantastic architectural variety of the place. It is one of the quitest places you can visit in Wroclaw, at the same time one of the most interesting, revealing how much has changed since the community buried here ceased its existence.

Where to stay in Wroclaw

The best way to visit Wroclaw in style but without breaking the bank is by planning your visit for the weekend, when many hotels within a stone's throw from the old town offer discounted prices for their finest rooms. Close to the city center you can also find many economical guesthouses, which provide access to common cooking and dining areas, and often offer bicycles for rent. The area north of the old town caters to university students; its good-value hostels are an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers.
