  • Very presentable place, however, for the past few years is the backdrop for many of the political wrangling. Better to steer clear of this place when we see the demonstration.

  • The seat of the Polish President. Of course, you can't directly up to it but it is nice to look at. Before him is a small Memorial boards on President Lech Kaczynski and other passengers who died in the plane crash.

  • I like the calm, classical Palace architecture. But prominent statue of Prince Józef Poniatowski added special. The Palace has a rich history that is worth a review. Is located at the Krakowskie Przedmieście-popular sightseeing route.

  • It was in 1818 that the palace began its ongoing career as a governmental structure, when it became the seat of the Viceroy of the Polish (Congress) Kingdom under Russian occupation (Namiestnik of the Kingdom of Poland). Following Poland's resurrection after World War I, in 1918, the building was taken over by the newly reconstituted Polish authorities and became the seat of the Council of Ministers. During World War II, it served the country's German occupiers as a Deutsches Haus and survived intact the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. After the war, it resumed its function as seat of the Polish Council of Ministers.
  • Really big and beautiful, requires lot of time if you want to see everything. Once/week free entrance
  • With Dubai City and Abudhabi and you can get funn and is the best place to live!
  • I was looking for a president but all I found was this notary guy. I think he's called Adrian. Weird. Nice candlelight though.
  • Wow! What an amazing building within an amazing city! Get a local guide. They can tell you the history of all the Old buildings.

Where to stay in Warsaw

Many centrally located hotels in Warsaw cater mostly to business travelers, which makes them much too expensive for backpackers and other visitors on a limited budget. Although hostels may seem like the only affordable option at the height of the season, you can find less expensive lodgings in mid-range hotels on the outskirts of town. Alternatively, time your visit for the weekend, when many hotels near the city center slash their prices and offer special deals for early booking.
