Praga Polnoc, Warsaw

1.8
#5 of 6 in Neighborhoods in Central Poland
The historical district Praga Polnoc is a hub of the local art community, overflowing with artistic studios, alternative theaters, and underground clubs. The area was an independent town prior to the late 18th century and remained relatively untouched during World War II. Visit some of the historical warehouses and factory spaces at Soho Factory, which have been turned into art galleries, designers' and stylists' boutiques, cinemas and concert venues, and food and fashion markets. Be sure to check out Fabryka Trzciny art center and the Koneser distillery, which often hosts concerts and festivals. The Praga district, once a working class neighborhood, remained intact during World War II, it was partly recovered. Even the streets a time limited, today have been recovered and there are so many beautiful locations to accommodate visitors. Take a ride in the quarter, revenue in the courtyards of the buildings and discover the many special features of the neighborhood resulting from World War II. Like the many altars, the houses of the Jews, etc.

Where to stay in Warsaw

Many centrally located hotels in Warsaw cater mostly to business travelers, which makes them much too expensive for backpackers and other visitors on a limited budget. Although hostels may seem like the only affordable option at the height of the season, you can find less expensive lodgings in mid-range hotels on the outskirts of town. Alternatively, time your visit for the weekend, when many hotels near the city center slash their prices and offer special deals for early booking.
