(1.7/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
The historical district Praga Polnoc is a hub of the local art community, overflowing with artistic studios, alternative theaters, and underground clubs. The area was an independent town prior to the late 18th century and remained relatively untouched during World War II. Visit some of the historical warehouses and factory spaces at Soho Factory, which have been turned into art galleries, designers' and stylists' boutiques, cinemas and concert venues, and food and fashion markets. Be sure to check out Fabryka Trzciny art center and the Koneser distillery, which often hosts concerts and festivals. • The Praga district has a magic you will not find elsewhere in Warsaw. A large part remained as it was before the war that destroyed most of the city. If you want to enjoy this unique atmosphere hurry, because the restoration and the destruction started: soon nothing will ever be the same! But first, a clarification: If you are a tourist looking mansions well restored and very neat. or maybe the shopping streets for shopping, go your way because this area is not for you. You won't and you will lose your time. These old buildings to the brick sales and damaged, but still inhabited, are the living memory of Warsaw. Each building porch leads to a small (or large) Court, often adorned with a few trees. And in this Court, a favorite awaits: a small chapel to the Virgin warms this place hidden walkers. Often illuminated by a light bulb or a candle, we feel so much love of the inhabitants of the building for their Virgin. Artistically speaking these chapels are not masterpieces, but it is their simplicity and especially their lives that make them a true jewel that watches over these buildings tired and full of history. The magic, she is there. Odd sensation to live another life, so close and distant at the same time! away from the fracas. He should be able to retain their places as they are! But I'm afraid that the man and his machines remove us this magic that nothing can replace.
