Nowy Swiat, Warsaw
(4.3/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Take a stroll down one of the city's most historical thoroughfares, Nowy Swiat. Part of the Royal Route, the boulevard was once home to an array of palaces and stately buildings, but was almost entirely destroyed during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. At the war's end, it was restored to resemble its 19th century appearance. Admire the array of striking architecture, shop in the area's stores, and stop for a coffee or bite to eat in one of the vibrant cafes and restaurants. Be aware, the street is popular with locals and visitors alike and can get very busy. Add Nowy Swiat to your Warsaw travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Warsaw travel itinerary planner.

  • Coming from the old towe after about 1 km continue on this street full of shops, cafes and places to eat something. Stop ahead where it happens because the prices are very low everywhere. The only caveat is to be careful to some girls who kind of bother men asking them to drink. Be careful because it's ladies paid by owners of some bars that will make you drink and take you a Bill.

  • We spent quite a while walking along this beautiful street and you can't help but enjoy the beautiful shops, restaurants, and abundance of historical monuments. Simply a must-see
  • It is the main street of Warsaw Pleasant walk and see the buildings (better have map for recognizing name and history), shops and maybe stop at one of the many bars, pastry chef on the way (because it's a bit cold in December)
