  • It is a sculpture in honor of the cardinal who played an important role in the relations between the Church and the Communist regime. Despite its importance, the sculpture not admired by the tourists.

  • The monument for the cardinal is a bit South of Warsaw's historic old town on the Grand Boulevard of Krakowskie Przedmieście in close proximity to the Presidential Palace and the St Joseph Church. It was unveiled in 1987 and is reminiscent of the very popular Primus of the Church in Poland. The work depicts the Catholic clergy on a Chair sitting in a very thoughtful-looking pose. We found the monument not particularly attractive. In the immediate vicinity there are many far more compelling works.

I think since after World War II has been serving as Archbishop was of comparatively recent. Many statues including the famous Copernicus monument and walking down the street the Krakow suburb, who do not know well.
