#1 of 13 in Parks in Warsaw
Spend some time strolling in the sun at Lazienki - Royal Residence Park. Once the hunting ground for Poland's kings, this park is the largest in the city, occupying 76 hectares (189 acres) in the central district. Start your walk at the opulent palace built for King Stanislaw August Poniatowski, who acquired the property in 1764. Next, head to the park's star attraction, an amphitheater inspired by ancient Greek and Roman architecture. The theater's stage, situated on a small island in the park's lake, provides an idyllic setting for live concerts and plays. Check the website for upcoming special events. • Peacock, tamed the squirrels, big fish zajadające bread and plenty of pigeons and ducks. Nice place for a stroll with your family, just a pity that you can't sit down on the grass and make your picnic:)

  • Park beautiful, I must say that I was surprised, I didn't expect so much care for the Green, so much beauty, I had the chance to hear a great concert right where stands the monument to Chopin, inter alia, a beautiful monument. . It was a pleasant surprise, there is a serene atmosphere and a lot of green.

  • What a beautiful park, different styles and construction works, but especially beautiful nature. The park is very well kept and totally worth it to go there. You go to Warsaw? Sure you save this over!

  • Beautiful park, very well laid out. You can always take a route that you haven't taken before and get lost in the beautifully maintained green paradise. There are many birds inside, with peacocks roaming free and near the walkways. You can feed the squirrels, ducks, swans or...yourself, in one of the two cafés in the park. Take a gondola ride or sit on a bench and enjoy the nature.
  • Such a pretty park, with gorgeous little buildings and palaces, Chopin's memorial (where they have Sunday concerts apparently) and peacocks and ducks wandering around. Buy some squirrel food (basically hazelnuts) from one of the cafés and seek out some cute red squirrels who will eat from your hand. Perfect place for a picnic or a wander in the shade if the city is getting too hot for you.
  • A beautiful, sprawling park. My wife and daughter fed nuts to red squirrels, taken right from their hands. The park is well laid out yet feels natural with beautiful buildings and monuments throughout. The concert by the Chopin monument was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday.
  • This is a huge park just outside the city centre. As well as having many paths just to explore it has all sorts of amenities including a great terrace restaurant. At the Belvedere end of the park is a famous statue of Chopin and there are free piano recitals on Sundays during the summer. They also have lots of other events there.
  • The best I have seen. Beautiful garden with Fountains palaces and eating places. Very elegant. Must visit if you are in Warsaw

Where to stay in Warsaw

Many centrally located hotels in Warsaw cater mostly to business travelers, which makes them much too expensive for backpackers and other visitors on a limited budget. Although hostels may seem like the only affordable option at the height of the season, you can find less expensive lodgings in mid-range hotels on the outskirts of town. Alternatively, time your visit for the weekend, when many hotels near the city center slash their prices and offer special deals for early booking.
