Kościół Akademicki św. Anny, Warsaw

(4.4/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Located just across from Castle Square, the facade of Kościół Akademicki św. Anny makes it look like a great neo-classical government building. This 18th-century facade reflects the church's function as the parish of the city's academic community. Step inside to see the only remaining example of diamond vaulting in the city, as well as Baroque artwork and frescoes. The church has been refurbished multiple times since it was first constructed in the 17th century; throughout the city's history the building has remained an important cultural landmark. • The location (right next to Castle Square) and its size make this one of the most important churches of the city. Currently in the works and have to enter through a side in front there is a bar called Warszawa offering Lunch for less than 5 euros (soup + main dish)

  • By 1533 this church and attached monastery were the largest of any suburb. They are currently renewing her facade but still it is a beautiful church that mixes different architectural styles and worth visiting. It is a single-nave Church.

  • Such a pretty church! Really enjoyed my visit here. There was a Baroque organ concert at 12pm (runs everyday) for 10zł, it's definitely worth visiting at this time if you can
  • This is a stunningly beautiful Catholic church within Warsaw. Of particular note, once inside the church, make sure you look at the wonderfully painted ceiling and the gigantic organ located up and in the back.
  • Beautiful church near the historic center of the town. Next to the church is a tower. The view from the top is magnificent. Recommended.
  • The church is ok but you should definitely check out the viewpoint on the top of the tower right next to it.
  • I love old town warsaw
