Kościół Akademicki św. Anny, Warsaw

Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web
Located just across from Castle Square, the facade of Kościół Akademicki św. Anny makes it look like a great neo-classical government building. This 18th-century facade reflects the church's function as the parish of the city's academic community. Step inside to see the only remaining example of diamond vaulting in the city, as well as Baroque artwork and frescoes. The church has been refurbished multiple times since it was first constructed in the 17th century; throughout the city's history the building has remained an important cultural landmark. • One of the most beautiful churches in Warsaw. The organ is huge and had an organ concerto the 12:00. It was in many churches this time of year. They say the cloister is very beautiful but I couldn't find it.

  • Anyway gorgeous seemed very simple, rustic Church at the entrance, but inside it and it is gorgeous. Fresco is still brand new thing to do, such as seemed to even catch my whiteness, are 光rikagayaite all are works of art. This association is anyway seen many works of art and decoration. For this reason, to look at much more than look around takes time. Organ is most striking, is gorgeous, just like any other, but very beautiful. Is the Church want to recommend that you always see you when you come to Warsaw.

  • I love old town warsaw
  • in old times a starting point of annual pilgrimages to Częstochowa (famous group# 17)
  • Greed for power is also a sin!
  • On the left of the church there was a small fair with polish music and small tents selling from leather goods to combs. Also traditional street food. Highly recommended
  • Visited in 2014. Beautiful Church
