  • Miles of walking among the forests, reflecting the history of mankind. To improve-toilets. Recommended guide who knows the story, unless they themselves, we study the history of World War II. Worth a visit when the weather is good.

  • Even the walk to the Treblinka memorial is ghostly. You follow the path that the real railway line once took to the death camp, walking through a forest of tall, densely packed trees that cut off all ...  more »
  • He had been in Auschwitz and Dachau, that have nothing to do with this. There are no buses, groups with guide, directions to get, trains were... alone in the entire complex. It is next to a village deep in the forest, a tiny Museum at the entrance (cuesta 6zl see it). Is practically impossible and very complicated arrive in transportation public from Warsaw. My recommendation is to hire a car and go with GPS. To my cost me only 150zl + 60zl of gasoline altogether. An hour and a half to reach (because it was all snow and slow going) and a couple of hours to see the Museum and field. The field is very brief, it was nothing, practically everything is the memorial with the large central sculpture and hundreds of stones around representing each town that was exterminated there. This is the first thing, the field has elongated shape and you can follow more there but only are sites of some buildings. In my case I could not help more than watching the memorial could not be practically and it was all very snowy. If you are interested in the history of the Holocaust an obligatory visit.
