Town Square - Old Town, Torun

4.8
Birthplace of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, Town Square - Old Town represents one of the "Seven Wonders of Poland" and a World Heritage Site. Much of the architecture dates back to the medieval era, with well-preserved monuments including the leaning tower on the city walls, Gothic cathedrals, the ruins of a 13th-century castle, and the old town hall, just to name a few. Look for a yellow house topped with a star. Both the interior and exterior feature rich decoration that are worth closer inspection. • I thin kit is worth the stop in this town for a day. Read up on the achievements of Copernicus and enjoy the quaint brick construction of the old town that did not suffer WWII destruction.  more »
  • The city that was the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus, is a jewel, the walls are well preserved with their charms and cobbled streets. The Center is full of clubs, shacks selling souvenirs and flowers. Very clean, offers interesting views for lovers of photography. Have fun to watch with the upturned nose, to find the various statues that face by ravines or from the Windows of buildings.

  • This hotel is in a great location, it's in the middle of old Torun. Everything thing is in walking distance. The hotel rooms are very large with a separate bedroom and a large living room. There is no car parking at the hotel so you will need to drop your luggage off and park a fair distance away if you rent a car. There is also no elevators, you may have to walk up four stories.
  • I spent here 5 wonderful days this year. Great antique rooms! Awesome staff and food! I will come back next year for sure! Nice regards ;)
  • Stayed there for over 5 nights. Must admit amazing location, incredible stuff and great accommodation. Everything was more than perfect, food in the mornings, assistance of the stuff and the location itself. Strongly recommend :)
  • 5 stars from me, definitely coming back at some point for another long weekend. Exceptionally nice and problem-free staff, helpful with every occasion. The room itself was just magic!
