Birthplace of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, Town Square - Old Town represents one of the "Seven Wonders of Poland" and a World Heritage Site. Much of the architecture dates back to the medieval era, with well-preserved monuments including the leaning tower on the city walls, Gothic cathedrals, the ruins of a 13th-century castle, and the old town hall, just to name a few. Look for a yellow house topped with a star. Both the interior and exterior feature rich decoration that are worth closer inspection.
