  • In Szczecin there are not many historic buildings. The city was nearly razed to the ground by carpet bombing at the end of World War II. So we need to enjoy what is left and managed to rebuild. The Castle and the Chrobry beautifully from the Odra River and can enthrall each chosen from this page. It is worth to go to the Castle Tower and admire the beautiful panorama from the city. In the castle is a registry office in the old style, and Opera, Szczecin where in an unusual way connected with antique interiors with a very modern design.

  • The castle of the Pomeranian Dukes in Szczecin is one of the most famous residences Princes in Northern Europe. In the North Wing of the Castle are Prince Hall Bohuslav Tenth, Chapel, where concerts and princely Crypt (vaulted underground space). Through the floor of transparent glass can be considered the true foundation of the medieval church. In the South Wing of the limelight attracts clock tower with amazing clock: IM already 377 years! The East Wing is decorated with a sundial with the inscription "Vita Brevis"-"life is short". And in the West Wing of the childhood of Sophie Auguste Friederike von Anhalt-Zerbst-Russian Empress Catherine II. By the way, in Szczecin was born and her sister-in-law, Sophia Marie Dorothea Augusta Luisa von Württemberg-Maria Fyodorovna Romanova, who became the wife of Paul I and mother of two emperors Alexander I and Nicholas I! Layout and interiors of the castle changed repeatedly, in the 19th century removed the arches of the East Wing and galleries, completely rebuilt the South Wing. During the second world war, a large part of the palace complex was destroyed, its restored almost a quarter of a century. Nowadays all 5 buildings, 4 2 courtyards and towers completely restored and the castle of the Pomeranian Dukes in Szczecin is a genuine historical and cultural value.

  • Bogusław Hall on the Pomeranian Dukes ' Castle is a great place for concerts. After renovation, the décor is very impressive and atmospheric. You can move to the days when listening to concerts in the same place already centuries ago.

  • The old town section of Szczecin is rather small, and this is the main attraction. It's got a couple of places to eat, some exhibitions, but I would not recommend coming to town just to see this. The waterfront is much more interesting, and on weekends they have some pretty amazing farmer's markets in the area.
  • Po prostu ok
  • You must see this place when visiting Szczecin. Wonderful place
  • Nice, but I expected something more.
  • Obowiązkowy punkt zwiedzania na mapie Szczecina, polecam nowy taras widokowy!
