  • You reach the Fort of Gerhard of Usedom off via the ferry in Świnoujście. Only domestic cars be ferried. Free for pedestrians and cyclists. Then, you must cycle around the gas terminal. The Fort of Gerhard is part of the coastal artillery. The West Fort on Usedomer page is better for German tourists and ordinary. This part also for Walker of Ahlbek (5 km) is in conjunction with the Castel Sant'Angelo. Both fortresses provide an insight into the Militägeschte Germany from ca. 1870 until 1980 to highlight is the excellent restaurant in the former powder magazine of the Westforts.Das food is so good that we biked just for dinner of Bansin out there (back and forth 20 km)

  • We went on a cloudy day. Upon arrival we found that we could visit only by themselves without a guide. It is a pity that the US has not said Ms. over the phone. We went around and that's it. Failure.

  • Interesting place, definive worth a visit. You can get combined tickets for the Fort and the "underground town". They belong together.
  • A small museum and some historic information is available here. If you are in the area it is worth a visit.
  • I had a fantastic time there.
  • To discover a great place we have a limited time during a very attractive guided tours. It is a pity that it is not possible to later enjoy all parts on your own.

  • Certainly very exciting for children and intusiasten. As always anyway in zloty (15 PLN or €7.50 per adult / children free) pay. Conversion goes back in the wallet as almost always in Poland. Otherwise it's sad that the entire site and the fortress partly as goat shed is used almost everywhere is their legacy. Not that this think EU funds were intended. The Museum is a visit, staff or a guided tour should be man nichg expect. In the best case gets man explains the location map in Polish. Important do not go navigation but to follow the signs in the village, these are very good and lead also to the destination, rather than in the industrial area such as the navigation system. Recommendation is 30m further also the lighthouse (€ 2.50 or 8 zloty adults / children free) only with zloty souvenirs pay especially.
