Crooked House, Sopot

(420+ reviews on the web)
Architectural Building
From the outside, Crooked House looks like something out of a surrealist painting or a cartoon. The colorful stained-glass entrances, stone elevation decorations, and windows framed with sandstone all merge in a warped image of the facade. The inspiration for the building came from the fairytale illustrations of Jan Marcin Szancer and the drawings of Per Dahlberg. Notice the curved roof of blue-green enameled shingles designed to give the impression of a dragon. A rather ordinary interior houses restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, and a radio station. • Had a great time in here, staff are relaxed and it always seemed busy. Random mix of all different music played and drinks weren't too expensive either. If you're not looking to go clubbing then there...  more »
  • The attraction is described as one of the most bizarre buildings (and the first) in Europe? And so for example, Gaudi?
