Where to stay in Poznan

Poznan draws huge business crowds during its international trade fairs, which cause a drastic increase in hotel prices. Business travelers cram the centrally located hotels during the week, so weekends remain the best time for sightseeing visits on a limited budget. Unless you have to stay in the city center, consider one of the outlying neighborhoods' hostels, which come in all shapes and sizes. Cozy guesthouses offer another affordable option, providing simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private parking.

  • Good place for walking and biking. Warm sun for picnic. And there is also a war history museum you can visit.
  • A huge park to rexlax in. Went there on a weekday evening and even though it was really sunny and warm, there weren't that many people there. There's some stuff to explore if you feel like it: The old walls of the fortress (which was destroyed in 1945), some art and two museums.
  • No matter which season you visit the park, the atmosphere and views are simply stunning. You can simply enjoy a quiet stroll with your significant other, or indulge in creative processes without interruption. Highly recommended in Poznan.
  • Unfortunately, the weather was overcast and it was raining on the day I visited this park. The view of the rosarium during the brief break in the bad weather was really nice. There are lots of benches and trees around that would make for a nice afternoon during.
  • Beautiful park with so many nice areas to relax. There's natural forest, grass fields, art and benches.
