  • Tropical corner in the middle of the Polish cities. Despite the fact that the whole enterprise remembers the pre-war times (1911!) the entire structure of the building holding up well, but in my opinion, requires a bit albeit more modern housing. Though with the old solutions, it has its original and archaic climate. By joining in the Poznań Palm House in the thresholds we'll see not only plants but also animals! The Palm House is thought through, from time to time you can lurk and unfit for further hikes. From the outside the Palm House seems by far the greater. On the inside I was under the impression that there soon from it I ...;) A very nice accent is present in the Palm House Café. Café 7 Continents has a very interesting Ant Colony, which everyone should see! Very successful attraction of knowing that every tourist must visit! :)

  • With a morning to spare my Polish daughter-in-law took us here - one of only a couple of histric palm houses in Poland. It's massive, lush, very interesting, very atmospheric, is well-labelled, has fi...  more »

  • A great family day for a rainy or sunny day. If plants are your thing then you can spend all day here. Children absolutely loved. They get the chance to feed fish up close and personal. At times it felt like walking through. A jungle. There's also a small aquarium to see varied fish. To round of the cafe(with very tasty cakes) is placed in a junglesk environment. On a rainy day for us it was the perfect solution. Be warned parking is in local streets and spaces may be hard to find.
  • A lovely place for a visit. Very family friedly an with an impressive and broad collection of plants. Stopping by the café within is also highly recommended - it has a unique character, filled with plants and a system of transparent tunnels for ants to circulate between terrariums setup around the place. Ice cream with hot raspberries or cherries makes for a perfect "cherry on the top" :)
  • To be honest, I left the gardens crying. All the plants were beautiful and it seems that they took care of it, but the animals were in a terrible condicion. There was a pond where the fishes could be reached by hand and that was so full of them that was heart-breaking. All the aquariums were so full with fishes that they could barely move (some of them had injuries because of the lack of space). There were two big parrots in a tiny cage were they couldn't fly even for a meter!. I literally saw how a kid punched the terrarium of a yellow toad and there was no gard to stop him. And that was in a day when there were just a few people in the gardens...I don't want to think about the weekends when the place is full to the top with people. I thought I was going to see some plants, not an animal prison.
  • Absolutely amazing! The amount and variety of plants and fish is simply astounding. 10/10 must see!
  • Fantastic place, I'm visiting it since I was child. Now I'm coming with my children and they love it. Remember to bring few 1zlotys to buy some food for fishes and turtles and feed them from hand 😀

Where to stay in Poznan

Poznan draws huge business crowds during its international trade fairs, which cause a drastic increase in hotel prices. Business travelers cram the centrally located hotels during the week, so weekends remain the best time for sightseeing visits on a limited budget. Unless you have to stay in the city center, consider one of the outlying neighborhoods' hostels, which come in all shapes and sizes. Cozy guesthouses offer another affordable option, providing simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private parking.
