Old Market Square, Poznan
(4.7/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
The city's historical central plaza, Old Market Square is home to an array of colorful and interesting buildings. Established in the 11th century, it has undergone numerous transformations, including severe damage during World War II. Its reconstruction was rapid and successful, and today the large square boasts a number of fashionable bars, cafes, restaurants, and stores. Some of its most striking buildings include the Renaissance-style old town hall, weighing house, arsenal gallery, guardhouse, and the row of 16th century merchants' houses. Weather permitting, you can enjoy a Polish beer and plateful of pierogi (Polish dumplings) on one of the bustling terraces. • Square in Poznan. A typical place for tourists. Full of restaurants and bars, winter place, in addition, the Center commercial of winter. Point required.

  • The heart of the city. The comparison to the tourist capital of the Polish were inevitable. The shape of the square and the buildings evoke the idea precisely. Maybe a little also. But no longer, who suffers from a chronic lack of market, uśmierzany Street, a long, that to the fair can ever gave, but today gives the impression of a "zagraconej" cafes. The market in Poznan is "readable". It has survived to this day a beautiful town hall. At 12:00 trykają to goats and living man plays one of the three next to Cracow and Lublin, the oldest hymns in Poland.

  • The old town of Poznan always vibrant, takes place here many events, fairs, shows. In about the market there are restaurants, pubs and souvenir stands. Anyone who will be in Poznan should go here and spend a nice evening with the glow of lanterns, wander through the streets with Cobbles.
