I'll say this: If someone has never been in this type of Museum. Go for once. Are the instruments of any kind: inflatable, jerky, string etc, most old about strange exotic names, definitely unknown to most people. Disadvantage: lack of any media opportunities to listen to how the instrument sounds. And would like to, because some are really cool in appearance. Until curiosity takes as they sound. Sorry-ossified Museum in the negative sense of the word. We went half an hour before closing time and all the time for us went checking that the Lady to something we will unload our backpack (for example, double bass; o)) in sum: go worth it, if anyone has to be smart, a man who liked to expand horizons and learn about new things, but generally without much emotion. It could have been much much better. I would be forgotten: in minus-fatal descriptions of the instruments, you have to exert yourself and search for.

IMHO it's one of the best museums in the city. it's not very big however it's full of amazing old instruments and stories about them. A must see when doing "the tourist thing" around the old city mark...  more »

Advertises itself as the only in Poland and one of the few of its kind in Europe. I was 19 years ago and now expect the new arrangements, multimedia, etc., and there is none of that! For exposures less than instruments 19 years ago, because part of the renovation. What is after reconditioning, or after renewal of the instruments played in the 20th century. The lack of meaningful descriptions. Yes is the name, but what does it mean to this instrument as a cross between the violins of the trombone, or what was used at the gärtnerplatztheater keyboard. I am a musician and a little bit I know, but I would like to know more, and what those who do not know? Here not to know. I wanted to wysondować, is it worth it to come on a trip with the students music school-well, definitely not worth it. Above all, what is this instrument Museum, where you can not listen to these sounds? Try though on some play ... In this day and age? Nothing becomes a translation that is application for tablets. To God, and why immediately? If all we are going to have to walk to the museums of the tablets? Just an audio-guide, or in each Hall of the headphones with the numbers of recordings the most interesting instruments. We all know how they sound, but as this keyboard at the gärtnerplatztheater, as zinc, glass harmonica, bass flute? Are able to raise funds for such purposes, and simply refer to the nearby Museum of Literature-a small cabinet with buttons and a description of the exhibit-so it needs to be done. So for the time being there does not come, because really the biggest enthusiasts come out disheartened.

Where to stay in Poznan

Poznan draws huge business crowds during its international trade fairs, which cause a drastic increase in hotel prices. Business travelers cram the centrally located hotels during the week, so weekends remain the best time for sightseeing visits on a limited budget. Unless you have to stay in the city center, consider one of the outlying neighborhoods' hostels, which come in all shapes and sizes. Cozy guesthouses offer another affordable option, providing simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private parking.
