  • This was free on a Tuesday but it was very small and there wasn't much to see inside. Information translated in English was only for some small parts but the majority was in Polish only.  more »
  • After a search of 20 minutes in the environment and various local residents unsuccessfully sued to have the armed soldiers by then wait yet but. ... conclusion: you can still "something" visit if you book well in advance by telephone in Polish.

  • The Museum of armoured weapon now is located in the barracks. Sołackich and you can watch the tanks and works of particular interest during World War II for example. T-34 something what to show, especially young people. Soon the Museum is to be transferred (2017r.) on the lawica airport and perhaps in the new location will be even more interesting.

Where to stay in Poznan

Poznan draws huge business crowds during its international trade fairs, which cause a drastic increase in hotel prices. Business travelers cram the centrally located hotels during the week, so weekends remain the best time for sightseeing visits on a limited budget. Unless you have to stay in the city center, consider one of the outlying neighborhoods' hostels, which come in all shapes and sizes. Cozy guesthouses offer another affordable option, providing simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private parking.
