Where to stay in Poznan

Poznan draws huge business crowds during its international trade fairs, which cause a drastic increase in hotel prices. Business travelers cram the centrally located hotels during the week, so weekends remain the best time for sightseeing visits on a limited budget. Unless you have to stay in the city center, consider one of the outlying neighborhoods' hostels, which come in all shapes and sizes. Cozy guesthouses offer another affordable option, providing simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private parking.

  • A modern and high- tech museum where you can learn the history of Poznan in a different way. Museo innovativo ed interattivo sulla storia di Poznan.  more »
  • Very nice audio tour with lots to interact with, a great way to hear the history of cathedral Island.  more »
  • Beautiful new and interactive museum. You can learn a lot about the city and it's history. If you're exhausted, you can take a break on the roof too terrace with an amazing view of the river.  more »

  • Pretty good place to visit. A lot of languages and a lot of history. Technology is also very advanced and you get audioguide.
  • Went there as a school trip. The place looks amazing. The technology there is high-end. However it was a little boring.
  • Definitely the best and most engaging museum I've been to. Excellent audioguide supported by sensors (knows where you are and where you're going - easy navigation!). Wonderfully prepared content presented on memorable snippets. Great experience.
  • The Gates of Poznań. The history of the city represented in a very interesting way. The place is almost never crowded which makes it easier to visit. The modern architecture of the building is stunning.
  • Excellent way to spend hour and half or so. The audio guide which is sensitive to your location is pretty cool. I liked the outside tour with audio guide, but once in the Cathedral you should don't need to visit every chapel. Just fast forward to Golden Chapel and then to the Crypt. Also, recommended for children as well.
